The SIMTEK Connectcode
Use the SIMTEK Connectcode in order to verify which combination between cutting insert and toolholder is recommended. This Connectcode is shown on catalog pages of cutting inserts as well as on catalog pages of toolholders - if the tool system does not require the use of a toolholder, no Connectcode is given.
Identical values indicate that the combination of insert and toolholder is recommended. Different combinations can be possible too at the possible expense of other tool characteristics.
1. Identify the required cutting tool and note the Connectcode.
2. Follow the reference "Suitable toolholders" in the upper right corner of the catalog page.
3. Identical Connectcodes of cutting tool and toolholder indicate, that the combination is recommended!
This table exemplarily shows all the Connectcodes from the simturn DX range. A full orange dot on the intersection of cutting tool and toolholder indicates that the combination of both items is recommended.
