Within the product group simturn AX, SIMTEK is adding a length-variable tooling system consisting of a steel toolholder with the patented ME clamping system as well as a cutting insert for the boring of bores starting at Ø 4.7 mm (0.185") with a variable usable length between 13.0 mm and 48.0 mm , thus offering an ideal solution to meet this challenge.
The innovative ME-clamping system* provides force-fitted clamping along with higher precision and stability.
These toolholders are available in steel as well as in carbide, whereas the carbide toolholders are especially suitable to extend the overall tool reach.
Thanks to adjustable threaded pins, four different types of coolant supply (R, L, R+L or supply through the insert) can individually be realized as required*².
